Pilgrims Poles Holy Island
This image is taken from Holy Island, Northumberland, UK. Essentially Holy Island is an island with a connecting causeway to the mainland, access is dependent upon the tide. This picture is of a line of poles used by pilgrims guiding them across the sands (during low tide!) to the monastery on Holy Island. As you can see the photo was taken at sunset with some beautiful reflecting light.
